Satsop Nuclear Power Plant

In 1983, the Satsop Nuclear Power Plant in Washington was abandoned due to crippling debt before it even began operations. Tearing it down was too costly, so it still stands today in a state of post-apocalyptic grandeur. Visible from Highway 8 near Elma, its two massive cooling towers loom over the landscape.
